Fur Babies HomeMade treats was founded by me, Katrina Porter, a pet lover. I owned over 40 pets in my 24 years of living. Most of my pets have gone to pet heaven and others are in my parents house in Cebu, but here in Manila I own a very adorable and playful furry shih tzu named Moo who is 3 years old and recently adopted 2 stray kittens, Tuna who I found on the side walk in BGC under the pouring rain and Mackerel who I found by the gutter in my village.

Moo and Me

As I grew, my love for pets grew as well. I love spoiling my fur babies with clothes, multiple leashes, diapers, and treats. My parents think its weird how invested I am with my dog and recently, my cats.

Last year, I found out that my Moobear is allergic to those treats you buy in pet shops, I assume it's because they have chicken in them (she is very allergic to chicken, which I only found out because of those treats) and most treats in pet shops are made with chicken in them, so my options were very very limited.

I thought I could make her some but work restricted me to do so due to the time constrains, traffic and the fact that I got home at 7pm every day just in time to cook dinner. When it came to the weekends, I had work on Saturdays and because of the strenuous work week I end up spending my entire Sunday resting or catching up with house chores. It made me feel like a super bad pet mommy not to be able to give some food love to my fur baby.

Now that I'm not working due to some health issues, I have all the time in the world to make new treats for her and the cats I recently adopted. Long story short, Fur Babies HomeMade Treats was born.

Now, how are the treats I make different from all those out there. Well, I made sure to do all the research necessary to be able to make baked goods for my pets at home. All ingredients I put into the treats I make are natural, safe and most of all yummy. I don't put any preservatives & artificial flavouring cause all of that is bad for animals. Also, I made sure that the treats I make can be modified in case I bring home a pet, or want to share the treat with fur babies with allergies to gluten or egg.

I'm also trying to make more variety which will include more fruits (that are obviously safe for dogs) like banana, apples, blueberries, oranges, etc. and make granola bars for dogs or dehydrated treats. Maybe make treats with meat and beef in them as well.

Now I know what you're thinking, what about cats and rabbits? As for my feline babies, I made some tuna bites which they truly enjoy. There are many other treats to make for them and I already have some recipes. Don't worry, I'll be sure to post them here when I am done making a test batch. Hopefully you'll want your fur babies to try 'em too.

Let me know what you guys think please. I need some feedback so that I can make more yummy tidbits for all fur babies to enjoy. I hope you found this read quite informative and helpful in a way and not confusing in any way.

xx
